Unplayed Games

Munchkin gameI’ve got a few games that are sitting and waiting to be played, once I find some willing participants. One of them is Munchkin from Steve Jackson Games. It looks like a lot of fun. The rules are pretty easy and the John Kovalic art is wonderfully funny.

The other game that is still in the box, waiting to be played is San Juan. I ordered it a while ago, but haven’t been able to find any players just yet. This is what happens when a gamer marries a non-gamer and all of his gamer friends move away or become married to non-gamers.

What games do you have sitting around waiting to be played? Leave a comment and let’s compare!

  1. I received Gloom a couple of years ago as a gift, and didn’t play it until recently. Very well designed, funny cards, but game play is a bit tricky in low light — the mostly transparent cards get difficult to read when layered thickly during game play.

  2. I hadn’t heard of Gloom before, so I looked it up. It looks fun. I agree with the low-light difficulty for transparent cards. Hecatomb was the same.

My eyes aren’t all that great anymore. My buddy and I have to get out desk lamps and magnifying glasses when we play HeroClix. How sad is that?
