One Thing Leads To Another

One of my wife’s favorite shows is Criminal Minds, where a team of FBI profilers solve crime by studying the personalities of criminals and anticipating their next moves. It occurred to me that being able to profile your opponent in a board game is extremely useful and would make a great article. So I surfed away for a while, looking for related articles that aren’t as old as disco, and I ended up getting distracted by personality tests.

350px-disassembled-rubix-1.jpgI took a test based on the Jung – Myers-Briggs school of thought. The analysis of my results says that I am a Mastermind Realist or an Introverted iNtuitive Thinking Judging type. I have to say, and some of you readers that know me well enough to buy me lunch can correct me if I’m wrong, these descriptions are pretty darn accurate.

The description of my personality type made me think of the game Mastermind, which is a great critical thinking game that I always kept in my classroom. I have been planning on doing a review of this nifty little game, but I don’t feel like it right now.
